Shahir had approached several architects to help him build his dream home a 10 cents plot he owned at Padoor in Thrissur, Kerala The main road was on one side of the plot while his ancestral house was on the other side. Many designers visited the plot to understand its features. However, none of them were able to conceive Shahir’s dream home as the plot posed many challenges. It was only in the end that Shahir met architect Josna Raphel who decided to turn drawbacks of the landscape into advantages. Now the marvellous edifice never gives out an impression that it stands on a plot just 7 meters wide.

The contemporary style elevation shows off an amazing combination of curve, box and flat slab styles. The owner had given the designer complete freedom to come up with a structure which perfectly suited the unique features of the plot. It really paid off as the mesmerizing exteriors now look chic, unique and elegant. The shingles on the roof and the natural stone claddings on the exterior walls are the highlights of this house. An elegant combination of white and brown hues adorns the exterior walls. Flamed granites, paved on the front yard, add to the overall look of the house.
