A yummy snack can be made out of leftover rice if you are wondering what to do with them. All you need are some commonly found ingredients in the kitchen and this crispy snack can be whipped up in a few minutes. They look a tad bit like the popular 'parippuvada' and also taste quite good. Here's the recipe

Ingredients
2 cups rice
1 cup gram flour (besan)
1 potato
2 numbers of onions
1 small piece of cabbage
1 bunch of coriander leaves
1 sprig of curry leaves
3 numbers of green chillies
½ teaspoon of yellow turmeric powder
½ teaspoon of pepper powder
½ teaspoon garam masala
1 teaspoon Kashmiri chilli powder
Salt to taste
Oil to fry

Preparation
Grate the potato and soak it in water for some time
Cut the onion, cabbage, coriander leaves, curry leaves and green chillies into small pieces
Take a large vessel, put the leftover rice and add the cut vegetables to it along with the masalas
Subsequently, add the grated potato pieces after squeezing them
Stir the ingredients thoroughly so that they mix properly
Add the gram flour to the mixture and knead it into dough so that its consistency is lighter than that of chapatis
Apply oil on both hands, take a little dough and roll it into the shape of a pressed ball
Make balls from the entire dough
Fry the balls in oil till they are crispy
