Good tea is enhanced with a good snack to go with it. A spicy and crunchy mixture is the perfect snack to enjoy with hot tea. Check out this pretty simple recipe for a delicious cornflakes mixture.

Ingredients
3 cups cornflakes
1 cup peanuts
½ cup yellow Bengal gram
2 crushed garlic cloves
2 dried chillies
3 – 4 sprigs of curry leaves
1 cup gram flour
¼ cup roasted rice powder
1 ½ tsp chilli powder
½ tsp asafoetida powder
Salt as required
Oil to fry

Preparation
Take the gram flour, rice powder, ½ tsp chilli powder, ¼ tsp asafoetida powder and ¼ tsp salt in a bowl
Add enough water and mix into a soft dough
Fill an idiyappam mould with this dough
Heat oil in a pan
Press the dough into the hot oil
Flip and fry all the sides
Transfer this into a bowl
Now fry the cornflakes, peanuts, yellow Bengal gram, garlic cloves and dried chillies separately
Take all the fried ingredients in a huge mixing bowl
Add 1 tsp chilli powder, ¼ tsp asafoetida powder and ¼ tsp salt
Mix well
Tasty cornflakes mixture is ready
Store the mixture in air-tight containers.
