Teen singer Sreya lauds woman's childhood in latest album

A woman's childhood is replete with sweet moments spent singing, dancing, playing and making friends. Teen playback singer Sreya Jayadeep's latest song reflects on such childhood moments and is aptly titled 'Baalyam'.
“Babbling tunes...humming moments...on mother's bosom...long to lean on and doze...,” Sreya's song goes on these lines.
The first song from the album 'Pennaal' sung by Sreya was released on YouTube recently. With her cute mannerisms and flawless rendition, the music video has captured the interest of music lovers.
'Pennaal 'is a musical journey depicting the five stages of a woman - childhood, adolescence, youth, motherhood and old age - through five songs. Titled 'Baalyam', the first track, expresses the innocence and playfulness of a child. It is written by Shyla Thomas with music composed by Gayathri Suresh.
The music video is directed by Shyla Thomas. Chinnu Kuruvilla and Sumesh Sukumaran have handled the cinematography. The album is conceptualised by Shyla Thomas and Dr. Shani Hafees. Muzik247 is the music partner.
