The budget tourism cell of KSRTC is organising affordable and safe trips to the tranquil forests of Gavi where you could enjoy the scintillating beauty of pristine nature. The trip also covers Panchalimedu, jungle safari of up to 60 kilometres into the forest and boating at Gavi. The ticket fare is Rs 1,650 per head including lunch. The bus leaves at 5.30 am from Kottayam on all trips and returns by 10 pm.
