KSRTC plans exciting trips for Onam: Know more

Kannur: KSRTC’s budget tourism cell in the district has planned many leisure and pilgrimage trips to various destinations across Kerala. Alongside popular destinations like Gavi, Wagamon, Munnar, Wayanad, Paithalmala, Ranipuram and Kozhikode packages, pilgrimage tours to Kollur and Aranmula to enjoy the iconic vallasadya are also organised.
Gavi
The extremely popular Gavi trip has been resumed almost after three months. Two trips have been planned on September 16 and 20 from Kannur to Gavi. The bus departs at 5 p.m. on these days and returns at 6 a.m. on September 19 and 23, respectively. The package includes stops at Gavi, Paruthumpara, Kumily, Kambam, and Ramakkalmedu.
Munnar
The trips begin at 7 pm on September 16, 20 and 27 and return by 6 am on September 19, 23 and 30, respectively. On the first day, you could visit the Munnar Botanical Garden, Marayur Jaggery Factory, Murugamala off-road jeep safari, Irachilpara waterfalls, Bramaram Point, Kanthalloor fruit orchards and Marayur sandalwood Garden before retiring for the night at Marayur. Meanwhile, the second day includes the signal point, gap road viewpoint, Malaikallan Cave, Anayirangal dam, Shantanpara and Chathurangapara.

Wagamon
The package planned for September 16 and 27 includes Wagamon Adventure Park (glass bridge park), Pine Valley forest, and Wagamon meadows. On the second day, a visit to Chathurangapara and surrounding areas is planned.
Wayanad
Trips to Wayanad have been resumed to revive the district's tourism sector, which is struggling after the deadly landslides. The trips begin at 6 a.m. on September 16 and 22 and return by 10.30 p.m. on the same days. This package includes Thusharagiri waterfalls, En Ooru tribal heritage village, honey museum, Pookode Lake, Lakkidi View Point, and Changala tree.
Paithalmala
The bus starts at 6 am on September 8 and 29 and covers Paithalmala, Ezharakandu waterfalls and Palakkayam thattu before returning by 9 pm on the same days.

Kadathanadan trip
The trips planned on September 8, 16, and 22 begin from Kannur at 6.30 am and cover the major tourist attractions like Karayatupara, Janakikadu, Peruvannamoozhi Dam, and Thonikadavu Tower before returning at 9 pm.
Ranipuram
September is the best time to visit Ranipuram, which is called Kerala’s Ooty. The trip begins at 6 a.m. on September 29 from Kannur and covers Ranipuram hill station, Bakel Fort, and Bakel beach and park before returning at 9 p.m. on the same day.
Pilgrimage packages
Kollur – Kudajadri
The pilgrimage trips planned on September 10 and 24 start from Kannur at 8.30 pm on these days. The first day will cover the temples and other divine places in Kollur, including the iconic Kudajadri Sarvajnapeedam. The second day includes visiting Uduppi, Madhur, Ananthapura, and Bakel Fort. The trip returns to Kannur by 7.30 pm.
Aranmula Valla Sadya
The bus leaves Kannur at 5:20 a.m. on September 12 to some of the most visited pilgrim centres in Kerala. This package includes Vaikom, Kaduthuruthy, Ettumanoor, and Chottanikkara temples on the first day. Meanwhile, Panchapandava temples, Kunthi Devi temple, and Kaviyoor Cave temple are included on the second day. However, the most amazing attraction of this package is a visit to the Aranmula Parthasarathy temple to enjoy the sumptuous Valla Sadya.
