Kochi: Do you like the idea of watching a film at the Open-air theatre in Durbar Hall ground? That might soon be a reality as they are planning to install a gigantic LED video screen as part of the smart city project. The LED video screen which is priced around Rs 1.77 crore will be 13 meters in height and 4 meters in width and will be mounted on the Northern part of the ground.

The project was started with the intention of showcasing cultural and art shows and other entertainments. The screen which will be flashing government promotional schemes, traffic rules and regulations will be controlled by the Integrated Command control and communication centre which in turn is operational from the Kaloor JNL Metro station.

CSML are hoping to cash in on the revenue generated through ads that appear on the big screen. The LED screen is suitable for day and night screenings, under any climatic conditions and can be viewed with clarity from a long distance. The tender process has already started.
