The Ambani household's new bahu, Radhika Merchant, termed her experience 'magical' after attending the Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj a few days ago. She visited the Kumbh with her husband Anant, father-in-law Mukesh Ambani and his mother Kokilaben, brother-in-law Akash, sister-in-law Shloka and her children Prithvi and Veda. The family performed Ganga Puja with Swami Kailashanand Giri Maharaj of Niranjani Akhara and met Swami Chidanand Saraswati Maharaj of Parmath Niketan Ashram. After the rituals, they took the holy dip at the Triveni Sangam and distributed sweets and life jackets. Like the rest of her new family, Radhika seems quite religious and is often seen alongside the Ambanis during their temple visits. A few weeks ago, she was spotted with her parents at the Shrinathji Temple in Nathdwara in Rajasthan, a major Vaishnava shrine.
Last year, the Ambani couple also visited a Hindu temple in Panama during their honeymoon. As for Kumbh, the Ambani family's arrival is a few days after the visit of the Adanis at the festival. Adani Group chairman Gautam Adani, his wife Priti and son Karan had visited to offer prayers and perform the aarti in January. The family had also collaborated with the ISKCON group to distribute free meals to devotees via the 'Mahaprasad Seva' initiative.
