Priyanka Chopra's favourite destinations and travel essentials

Priyanka Chopra started her acting career with Tamil cinema, but soon made a mark not only in Bollywood but also Hollywood. After coming into the limelight winning the Miss World title in the year 2000, Priyanka has never looked back in her career.

Now, Priyanka is busy as an actress as well as singer. In an interview recently, the celebrity revealed that even between tight schedules, she finds time to travel. She spoke about her memorable trips and favourite destinations.

Moving places as child

As Priyanka's parents served in the Army, she could travel to many places in India while young. She was born in Jamshedpur and later lived in Jharkhand, Delhi, Ladakh, Ambala and other locations. Priyanka was also fortunate to tour several interesting and picturesque spots along with her parents.

"I've loved journeys since childhood. Though I have lost many friends while shifting from place to place, making new friends was not a big problem. I was, in fact, very glad to visit so many places a girl," said Priyanka.

Favourite destination and hotel

While the South Beach in Miami is Priyanka's favourite destination, The Four Seasons hotel in Mumbai is her preferred place of stay.

"The South Beach is where I head to in the evenings after my work whenever there is a film shoot in Miami," said the actress.

"Spending my leisure time at the beach is a fantastic experience," she added.

Priyanka also said that a stay at The Four Seasons hotel which offers a view of all the attractions in Mumbai was another outing she loved.

In the interview, Priyanka revealed her preferred food items and she, like most of us, can't resist junk like pizza, cheese burgers, and wings.

Miami is the financial and cultural capital of Southern Florida. Tourism is the mainstay of the local economy and Miami enjoys the distinction of attracting the largest number of foreign tourists in the United States. The highlight of the region is beach tourism and South Beach is among the most popular spots. The scenes of the sea here are amazing, according to Priyanka.

This beach is frequented by film stars and other celebrities as well as common people. Other attractions at the beach include night clubs, heritage buildings and shopping areas. Many celebrations are also organized at the beach every year, including Winter Music Conference, South Beach wine and food festival and Mercedes Benz fashion week, among others.

Must-haves on a trips

In the interview, the actress also spoke about the items she takes while travelling. She carries idols of gods, a make-up bag, iPad and the script of the movie she would be working at that time. "Whenever I have to spend considerable time at the airport, I do some minor shopping there. On most such occasions, I end up buying a new pair of shoes," said Priyanka.

Benefits of travelling

The actress said that the advantages of travelling are immense. "Journeys have expanded my knowledge as well as boosted creativity, increased compassion and deepened wisdom," averred Priyanka.
