Shami will spearhead the Bengal pace bowling unit and the Indian thinktank in Australia too will closely follow the pacer's outing.

'Everyone has been wondering for a long time about whether I will make it for the Australia series but it is still some time away,' he said referring to the five-match contest that begins in Perth on November 22.
'We want him to be 100 per cent fit more than anything else. We don't want to bring an undercooked Shami to Australia,' said the Indian skipper.
