The annual water carnival, which marks the anniversary of the idol installation at the Sree Parthasarathy temple, is regarded as one of the oldest events of its kind in the state.
The festival is scheduled till October 2.
The bus will leave from Kannur at 5.30 am on July 28, Friday and reach back at 6 am on July 30, Sunday.
The devotees can offer sadya at the temple until October 2.
The most interesting part of the feast – one of the largest in India with 64 different vegetarian dishes – is the guests demanding various dishes poetically in the 'vanchipattu' (boatman's song) style.
The venues of the feast are the dining area (oottupura) of the ancient Aranmula Parthasarathy Temple and nearby halls.
The Aranmula Kannadi (mirror) manufactured in this temple town is the first item from the state to get a geographical indication (GI) tag.
There aren't any documents that give clues about the origin of these huge jars or how they reached Aranmula.
