Thrissur Magic posted their first win of Super League Kerala as they stunned league leaders Calicut FC 1-0 at the Payyanad Stadium in Manjeri on Saturday.
It was Calicut's first defeat of the campaign, but they stayed on top of the table with 16 points from 9 matches. Despite the win, Magic remained rooted to the six-team table on 5 points from nine outings.

Shamnad capitalised on a defensive mistake to score in the 11th minute. Calicut goalkeeper Vishal Joon was sent off in the 87th minute for a foul that led to a penalty. But Magic skipper Lucas hit the post from the spot.
