Kochi: The Ernakulam Central Police confirmed receiving a complaint against self-proclaimed commentator Rahul Easwar. The complaint, filed by a Thrissur resident, accuses Easwar of making offensive comments about the actor Honey Rose during a television debate.

The police are likely to register a case based on the new complaint, as well as on Honey Rose’s earlier complaint, which she filed at the same station. Meanwhile, Easwar has submitted an anticipatory bail application.

Earlier, Honey Rose responded to Easwar’s remarks, addressing the issue through social media and initiating legal action. The latest complaint was filed during her visit to the police station to give a statement in another case involving businessman Boby Chemmanur. The police are also expected to take action against individuals who posted obscene comments about the actor on social media.
