Kozhikode: A pregnant woman sustained injuries on Monday when a rock flew into her house during blasting operations at a quarry in Valillapuzha here.
The injured woman, Farbeena, was sleeping at her house when the rock struck her leg. She was admitted to Areekode Taluk Hospital for treatment.
Local residents alleged that a similar incident had occurred a month ago. They criticised the authorities for failing to address safety concerns at the quarry despite repeated mishaps.
