Kochi: Thrikkakara MLA Uma Thomas, who was put on ventilator support following an accidental fall during a dance event in Kaloor stadium, was shifted from ventilator on Saturday around 11 am. The expert team of doctors decided to shift her from the ventilator, considering the fact that her vitals and count were stable. 

She will be under intensive care since she is yet to recover fully from critical condition. Uma Thomas spoke to her children and doctors in the intensive care unit, according to the medical bulletin issued by Renai Medicity where she is being treated. 

She sustained serious injuries after she fell off a temporary stage set up for a dance event. She was rushed to the hospital and was put on a ventilator. The doctors have said that they would try to take her off ventilator support.
