Ochira incident: Bindu Krishna booked under POCSO Act

Kollam: The police have registered a case under the POCSO Act against district congress committee (DCC) president Bindu Krishna for circulating the photos of the family members of the minor girl abducted by a gang from Ochira on Facebook.
Bindu had posted the two photos on March 21 and 22. One showed the DCC chief sharing food along with the girl’s parents and sister and in the other, she was seen along with the girl’s father, Opposition Leader Ramesh Chennithala and some party workers.
The case was registered based on a complaint filed by NCP leader Mujib Rahman.
The gang had abducted the 15-year-old girl belonging to Rajasthan after attacking her parents on March 18. The police have arrested three members of the gang but Muhammed Roshan, son of a CPI local leader, and the girl are yet to be traced. According to the police, the girl was close to Roshan. Officials claimed that they were searching for the girl and this youth in Bengaluru, Mumbai and Rajasthan.
