Utsav, one of the major annual designer exhibitions conducted by the Kottayam Ladies Circle 48 is being held online due to the COVID-19 restrictions. The website was inaugurated by actress Kani Kusruti. Renu Jacob Ooppootil was the chief guest of the online event. Punjabi Ganeshan of Kirtilal also spoke during the virtual inauguration of the event. The 15th edition of the celebrated Utsav exhibition features more than 35 designers from all over the country.
The customers can choose from a wide range of exquisite saris, kurtis, western wear, kids’ wear, ornaments, décor items and ayurvedic skin care products. The designers for this year’s exhibition were selected on the theme of modernity and classic style.
Brands like ta.da and NC John and Sons would be presenting their Christmas themed décor items this month. Meanwhile, well-known apparel designers like Chirag Nainani and Bhu:sattva who had been featured in many leading fashion shows including the Lakme Fashion Week would be presenting their collections at this year’s Utsav exhibition too. People cannot travel outside the state to purchase designer outfits and accessories due to the pandemic situation.
