Noted mini-screen actress and social media influencer Lintu Rony recently shared her experiences of dealing with a breast cancer scare. Lintu, currently settled in the UK with her husband and son, often posts interesting vlogs on her YouTube channel. In her latest video, Lintu explains how she managed to move past a cancer scare that appeared in the shape of a tiny lump on her breasts.

A scary lump
“I started getting periods three months after I gave birth to Levi. But, a few months later, my period stopped, and I noticed a tiny lump on my breast,” says Lintu in her video. She goes on to explain, “Although I thought I was pregnant again, the test came out negative. The lump on my breast started getting bigger by the time we returned to the UK in February after our holiday in Kerala. I could feel the lump moving around like a ball.”
She consulted a doctor and took medicines for ten days. The doctor said that it could happen due to hormone changes. “However, the lump remained the same even after taking medicines. The doctor then expressed doubt that it could be breast cancer and prescribed a few tests to confirm it. I was shattered,” she reveals.

The determination to face anything
Linu continued the treatment at a private hospital. “They made me repeat all the tests. Although I felt why God was being so cruel after giving me Levi, I had faith that nothing would happen to me,” says Lintu, whose parents, at the time, were shattered after the death of her brother. She was worried about how they would take it if something happened to her. “But, I felt courage after the scan and was determined to face anything. We were relieved when the doctor said that there was nothing to be scared of. I was able to ward off cancer scare only because I recognised the symptoms and immediately sought treatment,” Lintu explains in the video.
