Grand mansion on a 5-cent plot in Kozhikode with brilliant design

Raoof, an expatriate, built his dream dwelling at his home town in Naduvattom, Kozhikode. The smart designs that effortlessly overcome the space constraints of the 5.25 cents plot are the highlight of this house. The front yard still has enough space to easily park at least two cars.

The roof is designed in a blend of flat and sloped styles to allow maximum view in this small plot. The groves on the wall beside the balcony are highlighted using texture paint in a pleasant shade of blue. Meanwhile, the aesthetically designed front yard is paved with tantoor stones and grass.

This charming house, in 2200 sq ft, has a car porch, sit-out, living and dining areas, kitchen with an adjacent work area, four bedrooms, balcony and an open terrace as well.

The formal living area is separated ensuring enough privacy. One could enter the dining area from here. The interiors are designed in the open theme to make the spaces look vaster.

The stair area is designed in double height. The air vents here pushes out warm air to maintain a pleasant and comfortable atmosphere inside the house. The handrails of the stairway are made in the beautiful combination of wood and toughened glass. Wooden planks are used on the steps of the stairway which enhances the elegant look of it.

Granite is paved on the floor in the common areas. Meanwhile, the furnishing is done in plywood and veneer finish. The furniture pieces in the living area is custom-made using acacia wood. The cots, windows and doors are made using the sturdy teak wood.

The dining table has a bench on one side, which is an interesting design that suits this space. From here, one could get into the patio that is closer to the boundary wall.

The gypsum false ceiling and the LED lighting make the bedrooms extremely attractive. Built-in wardrobes are arranged for storage. Three bedrooms are bath-attached and there is a common bathroom as well.

The kitchen cabinets are done in plywood with auto paint finish. Meanwhile, nano white is paved on the counter top. The adjacent work area has been extended to include a working kitchen as well.

The house looks impeccable against the twilight sky when the highlighter lights are switched on. This beautiful house has proven that spectacular designs, amazing space management and excellent planning could easily overcome the challenges posed by a small piece of land.
