This sweet, sour and spicy rasam is a flavour bomb that can be enjoyed with hot rice. Here is the recipe.

Ingredients
Bilimbi fruits
1 small onion
Curry leaves
A pinch of fenugreek
¼ tsp crushed pepper
2 cups water
¼ tsp jaggery
¼ tsp chilli powder
¼ tsp turmeric powder
2 dried chillies
Asafoetida powder
¼ tsp mustard seeds
¼ tsp jaggery
2 tsp coconut oil

Preparation
Heat coconut oil in a pan
Splutter the mustard seeds
Roast the fenugreek seeds and dried chillies
Now add finely chopped onion, curry leaves and bilimbi fruit pieces
Sauté well
Add turmeric powder and chilli powder
Sauté until the raw smell of the powders is gone
Pour water
Allow this to boil
Add salt as required
Into it add asafoetida powder and crushed pepper
Mix well
Add jaggery
Give everything a good mix
