Soya chunks are often described as a worthy substitute for meat dishes. They are tasty and nutritious as well. Check out this interesting recipe for dry soya chunks roast.

Ingredients
100 gm soya chunks
1 tbsp salt
Water as required (cook the soya chunks for three minutes; squeeze out the water)
For the masala
2 tsp salt
¼ tsp turmeric powder
½ tsp chilli powder
2 tsp Kashmiri chilli powder
3 tsp coriander powder
1 tsp chicken masala
2 tsp meat masala
¼ tsp pepper powder
2 tsp fennel powder
1 tbsp corn flour
Curry leaves
¼ cup oil to fry
1 tsp mustard seeds
1 tsp fennel seeds
3 dried chillies
3 tbsp coconut shards
1 onion (sliced)
¼ tomato (finely diced)
3 green chillies

Preparation
Marinate the cooked soya chunks with salt, chilli powder, turmeric powder, Kashmiri chilli powder, coriander powder, chicken masala, meat masala, pepper, fennel powder and corn four
Keep them aside for at least 5 minutes
Fry in hot oil for a minute on high flame until all sides are crispy
Separate 3 tbsp oil from this into another pan
Add some more coconut oil
Splutter the mustard seeds and fennel seeds
Sauté the dried chilies and coconut shards for 3 minutes
Now sauté the onions, tomato and green chillies as well
When the onions are caramelized, add ¼ tsp turmeric powder, 1 tsp chilli powder, 1½ tsp coriander powder, chicken masala, meat masala, pepper powder, and fennel powder
Mix well for a minute
Add ¾ cups water slowly
Add the fried soya chunks
Pour the remaining water as well
Now add some coconut oil
Sauté well until the soya chunks turns color
Sprinkle some pepper powder, fennel powder and chicken masala as garnish
Enjoy the dry soya chunks roast with rice or chapathi.
