Chicken kondattam is spicy and tastes amazing with rice, chapathi and roti. Check out the pretty simple recipe of this crispy fried chicken.

Ingredients
1 kg chicken (cut into small pieces)
1 tsp turmeric powder
2 ½ tbsp Kashmiri chilli powder
2 ½ tbsp crushed mixture of ginger, garlic and shallots
Salt as required
Curry leaves as required
Juice of one lemon
1 tsp garam masala powder
1 tsp coriander powder
4 dried chillies
2 tsp chilli flakes
30 shallots
Coconut oil fry
½ cup tomato sauce

Preparation
Prepare the marinade by mixing turmeric powder, Kashmiri chilli powder, salt, lemon juice, crushed ginger, garlic and shallots and curry leaves in a big bowl
Add the chicken pieces and coat them well with the marinade
Keep the marinated chicken aside for at least an hour
Heat coconut oil in a pan and fry the marinated chicken pieces
Keep them aside to be used later
Transfer 2 tbsp of this oil into another hot pan
Into it add dried chillies and finely chopped shallots
Sauté well
Add 1 tsp crushed ginger, garlic and shallots mix
Add curry leaves as well
Sauté well
Now add the tomato sauce and mix well
Into it add some Kashmiri chilli powder, garam masala, coriander powder and chilli flakes
Taste for seasoning
Give everything a good mix
Now add the fried chicken
Mix until the chicken pieces are coated well in the masala 
Tasty chicken kondattam is ready.
