Madhav Sundar, popular music composer Gopi Sundar’s son has made his debut as a playback singer, rendering a soulful melody composed by veteran composer Ouseppachan. The youngster, who is also a sound engineer and guitarist, has sung the song ‘Chiraku Mulachu’ in the music album 'Karuthal.' The lines of the song are penned by Rafeeq Ahamad.
Interestingly, Ouseppachan introduced Gopi Sundar into the cinema music industry 30 years ago. Gopi Sundar known for his hit compositions in 'Ustad Hotel,' 'Pulimurugan,' and '1983' had also debuted as a singer in the song composed by Ouseppachan for the movie 'Sundarakilladi.' Ouseppachan was all praise for Madhav. “Gopi started his career with me, and now I am happy to have introduced his son too. The poem penned by Rafeeq Ahamad, lends a beautiful message to society. However, we wanted to ensure it was appealing to the younger audience, so I asked Rafeeq if I could compose the poem in a different way,” Ouseppachan told Manorama Online.
The album 'Karuthal' discusses modern-day relationships. The video for the album was conceived by Jofi Pulkottil who is the coordinator of the Souhrida Club, which functions under the Career Guidance and Adolescent Counselling Centre of the Department of Secondary Education. The music video is produced by the Souhrida Club.
