Director Sukumar, celebrated for his recent blockbuster 'Pushpa 2: The Rule', left fans in shock with an unexpected remark about quitting cinema. During the promotional event for 'Game Changer' in Dallas, where Sukumar was invited as the chief guest, he was asked what he would leave behind. His response, 'Cinema', caught everyone by surprise, including actor Ram Charan.

Ram Charan quickly took the mic, attempting to ease the tension and lighten the mood. He playfully urged Sukumar to reconsider his statement, dismissing it with a touch of humour. Despite the lighthearted attempt to brush off the comment, it went viral, sparking debates and speculation among fans and media outlets alike.

While some believe Sukumar’s remark was simply a joke, others think it may reflect a deeper frustration, possibly linked to the controversies surrounding 'Pushpa 2'. Despite the film’s massive success, having crossed Rs 1,500 crore globally at the box office, its release has been overshadowed by tragic events. On December 4, a stampede during the Hyderabad premiere resulted in the death of a 35-year-old woman, Revathi, and left her nine-year-old son, Sri Tej, critically injured. Following this, Allu Arjun was arrested on December 13 but was granted interim bail the next day.
Though 'Pushpa 2' continues to perform exceptionally well at the global box office, the tragic incident at the premiere has cast a shadow over the celebrations.
