Thiruvananthapuram: The main examination for recruitment to the Kerala Administrative Service (KAS) is scheduled to be held at 19 centres across the state on November 20 and 21.

In all 3,190 candidates are eligible to appear for the main examination after qualifying in the preliminary round held earlier this year. 

The exam will be held from 9.30 am to 12 noon, and from 1.30 pm to 4 pm on November 20. And from 9.30 am to 12 noon on November 21.

The Main examination comprises three papers in the descriptive format. Each paper is of 2 hours each for a maximum of 100 marks per paper.  (KAS preliminary examination was held on February 22, 2020. It comprised two papers with objective type questions.)

The admission tickets are available in the profile section of the candidate on the website of the Kerala Public Service Commission (PSC), which conducts the exam.

Candidates will not be allowed to enter the centre once the exam begins. They should carry only the admission ticket, valid ID proof, and blue or black ballpoint pens to the centre.

COVID-19 guidelines and safety measures would have to be followed. Candidates may carry water and sanitiser in transparent bottles. They will also have to wear masks. 

Those who have tested positive for COVID-19 or are in quarantine can write the exam in special rooms at the exam centres, as per the chief superintendent's instructions.
