Thiruvananthapuram: In response to the high demand expected due to the annual Sivagiri pilgrimage, the Southern Railway has announced a special MEMU train service operating between Ernakulam and Thiruvananthapuram North. The special service will run from January 30 to February 1.

The MEMU (Mainline Electric Multiple Unit) train is scheduled to depart from Ernakulam at 9:10 AM, reaching Thiruvananthapuram North by 12:45 PM. The return journey will start from Thiruvananthapuram North at 12:55 PM and reach Ernakulam by 4:35 PM.

This special train will make stops at key stations, including Vaikom Road, Kottayam, Tiruvalla, Chengannur, Mavelikara, Kayamkulam, Ochira, Karunagappally, Sasthamkotta, Kollam, Paravur, and Varkala, providing ample connectivity for pilgrims and other travellers along the route.
Southern Railway's initiative aims to ease travel woes and ensure a smooth transportation experience for participants of the pilgrimage and regular passengers alike.
