In the wake of its success, the film’s producer Antony Perumbavoor has publicly congratulated director Prithviraj Sukumaran and screenwriter Murali Gopy.
Ashish Joe Antony, son of producer Antony Perumbavoor, made his acting debut in the film, stepping into the spotlight as Antony Rawther.
He maintained that he hasn’t called 'Empuraan' a bad movie and had just pointed out the anti-national elements in it.
Chalakkudy Munsif MS Shiny ordered the producer to pay Rs 1 lakh as compensation and Rs 1,68,000 towards court expenses.
He further clarified that only two minutes and a few seconds had been removed and emphasized that the decision was made voluntarily.
He described the film’s release as a celebration, much like the grand Thrissur Pooram festival, and assured that any prior conflict with Antony Perumbavoor had already been resolved.
The trailer clearly reflects a Hollywood-inspired movie making style.
Antony Perumbavoor had earlier criticised Suresh Kumar on Facebook after the latter publicly revealed the budget of 'Empuraan'.
Film Chamber President BR Jacob told Manorama News that after discussions involving Anto Joseph, Antony Perumbavoor, and Suresh Kumar, they agreed to resolve their internal differences.
As part of its new mandate, the Chamber has made it compulsory for films releasing after March 25 to obtain prior approval before finalising contracts.
