Hello
The 5,000-km range missile was test-fired from an island off Odisha coast.
The function is scheduled to start at 11.30 am, and it will be presided over by IIIT Kottayam's Director Dr Rajiv V Dharaskar.
It was the first time a ballistic missile had landed near the South's waters since the peninsula was divided in 1945, and the most missiles fired by the North in a single day.
The test-firing was carried around 7:50 pm from APJ Abdul Kalam Island in Odisha.
The nuclear-capable missile has been designed and developed by the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO).
