Angered by Kerala Blasters' dismal performances in the Indian Super League, its largest fan group, Manjappada, has threatened to stage protests against the club management.

The Blasters' 2-4 defeat to Bengaluru FC on December 7, their fifth loss in six matches, was the last straw. "Manjappada will not buy tickets this season," the fan group has said. "We are not withdrawing our support for the team. The East Gallery will have our presence, but we will protest against the management both inside and outside the stadium," the Manjappada noted.

In Bengaluru, the Blasters had produced a thrilling comeback to level at 2-2 after trailing 0-2. But they failed to capitalise and conceded two more. Mikael Stahre's team has conceded 21 goals this season, the worst among the 13 teams in the league.

"How many more empty words will you say before the truth catches up? All those promises, now just forgotten echoes. We are deeply concerned about the club's track record of breaking promises. Wake up from the slumber and look around. This won’t be overlooked forever.

"We, the fans, are not customers; we are the heartbeat of this club. Don’t think you can turn our loyalty into a business," the Manjappada posted on social media after the latest defeat. With only three wins from 11 rounds, the Blasters are 10th in the points table, trailing league leaders Mohun Bagan Super Giant by 12 points.
