Dubai: Superstar Mohanlal recently conducted the house warming ceremony of his brand new luxury flat in one of the posh areas in Dubai. Apart from the chic features inside, it's the vantage point that makes the apartment a unique haven.
While there is the spectacular view of the iconic skyscraper Burj Khalifa on one side there is the lush greenery of Sabeel Park and the regal charm of the imperial palace on the other. The screen icon's flat in the plush RP Heights, a 50-storey tower in the heart of Dubai, is a few minutes’ walk from the world’s largest shopping complex - the Dubai Mall. Mohanlal is said to have celebrated the house warming ceremony on November 12.
Around 15 people, including the actor and his wife Suchitra, were involved in the ceremony. The family entered the flat at 8.30 am and the customary milk boiling ritual was held at 9.15 am. The flat is on the 45th floor of RP Heights, owned by noted industrialist Ravi Pillai.
The three - bedroom flat sprawls over 4000 sqft and has an infinity pool.
Mohanlal is a known relic connoisseur and collects unique artefact materials from across the globe. His new flat is now embellished by many of these rare and priceless curios. It took around three months to decorate the interiors of this mesmerising abode.
RP Heights, which is 8.5 lakh sqft in area, is a giant tower known for its architectural brilliance. Apart from 294 apartments, there is a badminton court, billiards area, yoga space, gym and an impressive library in the tower.
The grand lobby, which may give many posh five star hotels a run for their money, is the highlight of this tower. The apartments in 40th – 45th floors have private infinity pools from where one can enjoy the enchanting Dubai skyline.
Besides, there is a common swimming pool for the apartment complex. Flats that are 1000 – 5000 sqft in area are available in this luxury apartment tower.
Flats in RP Heights would cost between Rs 2.5 crore and 30 crore. Mohanlal and Suchitra had stayed in their new flat for a few days before returning home.
Mohanlal owns a flat in the iconic Burj Khalifa as well.
