Chicken Pallipalayam, a spicy stir fry, is one of the most loved chicken dishes in Tamil Nadu. Paired with any variety of parottas, it is an explosion of flavours. Here is an easy recipe to make it at home.

Ingredients
10 gm whole coriander seeds
10 gm red chillies
15 gm coconut, sliced
20 gm crushed shallots
10 gm crushed garlic
150 gm small pieces chicken with bone
1/3 tsp turmeric powder
½ tbsp black pepper powder
½ tbsp red chili powder
Salt to taste
2 sprigs of curry leaves
10 gm chopped coriander leaves
20 ml coconut oil

Preparation
Heat coconut oil in a pan
Add the red chillies, coriander seeds, sliced coconut,crushed garlic, crushed shallots and salt
Saute until the shallots turn brown
Add in the chicken pieces ,turmeric powder, pepper powder and chilli powder
Slow cook for 10 minutes and then stir fry in high flame
When the raw smell of the powders are gone and the chicken becomes dry, add in the curry leaves and coriander leaves
