This mouth-watering bread dish could give your regular beef fry a run for its money. With caramelized onions and fried coconut shards, bread masala roast really looks like beef roast. Here is how to make delicious bread masala roast at home.

Ingredients
7 bread slices
1 onion
1 tsp mustard seeds
1 tbsp ginger
1 tbsp garlic
3 green chillies
¼ cup coconut shards
1 tbsp chilli powder
¼ tbsp turmeric powder
1 ½ tbsp coriander powder
½ tsp garam masala
½ tsp crushed pepper
2 tbsp water
Oil
1 tomato
Curry leaves

Preparation
Cut the edges off the bread slices; then cut them into small pieces
Fry the bread pieces in hot oil
Set it aside to be used later
Meanwhile, heat 1 tbsp oil in a pan
Splutter the mustard seeds
Sauté ginger, garlic, coconut shards and curry leaves until they turn brown in colour
Into it add chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, garam masala and crushed pepper
Sauté until the raw smell is gone
Add the tomato
Add 2 tbsp water too
Cool well
Now add the fried bread pieces
Give everything a good mix
Finally add pepper powder and garam masala
Serve bread masala roast with porotta, appam or chapathi.
