Crunchy urad dal bonda is the perfect evening snack to enjoy with your tea or coffee. Check out the recipe.

Ingredients
½ cup urad dal
3 tbsp onion (chopped)
1 green chilli (chopped)
1 small piece ginger
1 tbsp curry leaves (chopped)
½ tsp crushed pepper corns
2 tbsp coriander leaves (finely chopped)
1 tsp grated coconut
Salt as required

Preparation
Soak the urad dal for at least 2 hours
Grind them in a mixer jar
Transfer the grinded urad dal into a bowl
Stir and beat it well using a spoon for at least 3 minutes
Into it add chopped onion, green chilli, ginger, curry leaves, pepper corns, coriander leaves, grated coconut and salt as required
Mix well
Dip your palm in some water and scoop some batter
Make them into balls and fry in hot oil
Enjoy uzhunnu bonda with coconut chutney or spicy coriander chutney.
