Chris Martin of Coldplay left fans awestruck in Ahmedabad on January 26 with a special performance of ‘Vande Mataram.’ The patriotic moment, streamed live on Disney+ Hotstar, quickly made its way to social media, where fans shared clips of the singer captivating the crowd with his rendition of the iconic track.
During the show, Chris Martin took a moment to wish everyone a happy Republic Day. Addressing the audience, he said, “Hello everybody, I see you all, and you look so beautiful. I see you all the way up there in the top stand. Thank you for being here. We welcome you all. Waving the Indian flag on Republic Day, that’s beautiful. Thank you all so much for making the effort to come to this show. Thank you for making the effort to give us this amazing day. Thank you for welcoming us to your beautiful country and thank you for letting us play for India.”
Coldplay’s visit to India was part of their 'Music of the Spheres World Tour'. The band performed three concerts in Mumbai on January 18, 19, and 21, followed by two shows in Ahmedabad on January 25 and 26.
