The Mazhavil Music Awards were given away in the presence of luminaries in the fields of music and movies. P Susheela accepted the prize for extensive contribution to the field of music from singer P Jayachandran, who then prostrated before of her.

Anna Kitex Group chairman and managing director Bobby M Jacob, South Indian Bank deputy general manager SS Biji, Gateway Beaumonde’s Hairfixing managing director Dr Xavier, TTK Prestige area sales manager MP Nandanan, AVA Cholayil Group state sales manager T Suresh and Exwell Thinner managing partner Paul Thadikkaran presented cash awards.

Keyboardist Stephen Devassy led a fusion music session along with Raajesh Vaidya (veena), Purbayan Chatterji (sitar), Fasal Khureshi (tabla) and Sabarish (violin). Nyla Usha, Midhun and Aswathy were the presenters.
