1) Srinagar, the city of saffron
Srinagar, also known as the 'City of Lakes and Saffron, 'Paradise on Earth' and the 'Jewel of the Kashmir Valley,' has many popular spots like the Dal Lake, Mughal Gardens, Hazratbal Shrine and the Shankaracharya Temple, which can impress tourists. Dal Lake is just about 13 km from the Srinagar Railway Station, and the Mughal Gardens like Shalimar, Nishat, and Chashme Shahi are just about 15 to 17 km from the station. Taxis, auto-rickshaws and more can be hired from the station to visit these spots.

2)Katra, the base camp for pilgrims
The world-renowned Vaishno Devi Temple, devoted to the Hindu Goddess Durga, is near Katra. The town serves as the base camp for devotees who visit the temple, which is located 5,200 feet on the Trikuta Mountains of the region. Devotees trek to the shrine for about eight hours and even hire ponies, dolis, batter-operated vehicles or even helicopter service to reach the temple.
3) Jammu Tawi
The well-known Raghunath Temple dedicated to Lord Ram, Bahu Fort and gardens and Mubarak Mandi Palace, known for its European, Mughal and Rajasthani-blend architecture, can be explored after reaching this railway station. Udhampur, Banihal, and Anantnag also have tourist spots like temples, gardens, and mesmerising railway tunnels that are interesting to tourists.
