The Southern Railway has announced a few trains to clear the holiday season rush of passengers during the Christmas - New Year season. They will help those who want to visit the state during one of the busiest times of the year. The Dr MGR Chennai Central - Kochuveli Weekly Special (06043) will run today and on December 30, and on December 24 and December 31 in the return direction (06044). The train has 17 sleeper class coaches and two luggage cum brake vans. It will leave from Chennai at 11.20 pm and reach Kochuveli at 6.05 pm the next day. In the return direction, it will depart from Kochuveli at 8.20 pm and reach Chennai at 2 pm the next day. Here are its stations, arrival and departure timings:

The other train announced in the route is the Kochuveli - Mangaluru Jn - Kochuveli Weekly Unreserved Antyodaya Specials. Train no. 06037, from Kochuveli to Mangaluru on December 23 and 30th, will leave Kochuveli at 8.20 pm and reach Mangaluru at 9.15 am, the next day. In the return direction (06038), the train will leave Mangaluru on December 24 and 31 at 8.10 pm and reach Kochuveli at 10 am the next day. The train has 14 general second class coaches, one second class coach that is 'divyangan friendly' and 1 luggage-cum brake van. Here are its stations, arrival and departure timings:
