India's longest Vande Bharat Express from today: Fares announced

The Delhi - Patna Diwali special Vande Bharat Express, the longest of the kind in the country, started its journey from Delhi at 8.25 am today. It will reach its destination, covering 994 km, in 11 hours and 30 minutes by 8 pm. The train has Arrah, Buxar, DDU, Prayagraj and Kanpur as some of the key stops. The train will be on service on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays from Delhi to Patna and on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays from Patna to Delhi. It will leave Patna at 7.30 am and reach Delhi at 7 pm. The train has no sleeper class, and the chair car is the only seat type offered.
Fares and Vande Bharat sleeper
The Diwali special Vande Bharat Express seats cost Rs 2,575 for an AC chair car and Rs 4,655 for an executive chair car. The upcoming train trips from Delhi to Pune are on November 1, 3 and 6. The return services are scheduled for November 2, 4 and 7. Previously, the longest Vande Bharat train was between Delhi and Varanasi. It has been in service since 2019. It covers 771 km in 8 hours. According to reports, this route will soon introduce a Vande Bharat sleeper train. However, the dates, fares, and other details have not been announced yet. The train is currently in the trial phase.
