PM Modi will inaugurate India's first Vande Bharat Metro train on September 16 in Gujarat. The first train service is on the Bhuj - Ahmedabad route. The train, which starts from Bhuj at 5.50 am, will reach Ahmedabad at 10.50 am, return to Ahmedabad at 5.30 pm, and reach Bhuj at 11.10 pm. The average travel duration from Bhuj to Ahmedabad would be 5 hours 45 minutes on Vande Metro. The metro will operate six days a week. The route will have nine stations and stop for around two minutes at each station. 
The train is full air-conditioned and will have all features of the Vande Bharat trains. It will have a minimum of 12 coaches at first and is possible to be expanded to 16, as per demands. A trial run of the train was conducted in the Ahmedabad - Gandhidham route last week. The train will have automatic doors, digital route indicatiors, CCTV, phone charging portals, LED displays and panoramic windows in addition to other features.
