Kozhikode: KSRTC’s budget tourism cell in the district has launched fabulous tour and pilgrimage packages to various places in Kerala to ring in the Onam season on an enthusiastic note. The trip arranged to Kochi on September 12 includes a thrilling cruise through the Arabian Sea in the iconic Nefertiti ship. The five-hour long cruise includes dinner and other refreshments too. If you are in the mood to enrich your spiritual side, then hop on the bus that has been scheduled on September 28 to the Panchapandava temples. Besides the five temples dedicated to Lord Vishnu, you could also visit the Kaviyoor cave temples and the Pandavan temple. A sumptuous Aranmula vallasadaya too is part of this amazing trip. Moreover, you could watch how the iconic Aranmulla mirror is manufactured.

Wagamon and Kumily trips are on September 13 and 27 respectively. Meanwhile, the verdant tea plantations of Munnar could be enjoyed on September 7, 16 and 28. On September 20, another Munnar trip has been planned via Mamalakandam. KSRTC has also organized trips to Peruvannamoozhi and Janakikadu in the district on September 8, 17 and 29. Besides, you could also sign up for the trip to the lush green hills of Nelliyampathy in Palakkad. The scintillating beauty of the forests in Malakkapara could be enjoyed on September 8 and 22. KSRTC has planned trips on September 16 and 29 to Paithalmala, Palakkayamthattu and Ezharakundu waterfall in Kannur district. Besides these, trips have been scheduled to Guruvayoor, Kadampuzha, Malampuzha, Silent Valley and Gavi. The KSRTC has also arranged special trips to some of the tourist destinations in Wayanad, to support the district as its tourism sector is struggling after the deadly landslides.
