New Delhi:  India has issued an advisory to citizens traveling to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, to be alert and monitor local media in the wake of a strike by police there which has led to limited police presence in some areas.

The advisory has also asked Indians visiting Rio de Janeiro to follow the guidance of local authorities.
