Are you one of those people who enjoy winter's chill vibes basking in some sunshine? If so, Araku Valley, often termed Andhra's Ooty, is a perfect spot you shouldn't miss this season. The beautiful region in the Eastern Ghats of Andhra Pradesh, filled with scenic landscapes, waterfalls, coffee plantations, caves, gardens and trekking trails, has a serene climate, especially in winter. It's known for its ancient limestone structure called 'Borra Caves,' which people love because of its stalactite and stalagmite formations. But Araku Valley also has many other winter havens that 'chill seekers' will love. Here are a few:

1) Organic coffee plantations
The Araku Valley Coffe Plantation, The Annapurna, Kunduru, Chintapalle and Padmapuram are some of the popular spots in the region, where visitors can take guided tours, taste fresh coffee, check out the processing unit and interact with local farmers. During winter, the temperatures in these spots often range between 10 degrees Celsius and 20 degrees Celsius. The region becomes more scenic and green, with cool breezes and misty mornings.

2) Katiki Waterfalls
From over 100 feet, the stunning fall cascades down amid fog and mist in the winter. The winter also adds more chill into its surroundings, making the hike to the fall a totally cool experience. Even the greenery around is a lot fresher this season. Winter isn't the tourist season here, so it would also be less crowded.
3) Chintapalle village
The village has tribal markets, waterfalls, trekking trails, forests, a horticulture research station, strawberry cultivation spots and the Lambasingi village, often dubbed the 'Kashmir of Andhra Pradesh.' Here, the temperature can even drop below zero degrees in winter, making your mornings frost-covered but still ideal for outdoor activities like camping, trekking and nature walks. It also has various viewpoints and a crowd-free ambience to help you relax during your holidays.
