The Malayalam month of Chingam heralds a new beginning. The farmers across the state are happy with the monsoons and now it is time for sowing in Wayanad. Here's a look at some pictures from Wayanad when they started cultivation.

These will be planted by hand. And then they will pray for a decent harvest.
