2024 was a tumultuous year for actor Jayasurya, who faced sexual assault allegations alongside many other artists after the Hema Committee report was out. The actor, who also completed his film 'Kathanar' in the same year, released a statement denying the allegations. It looks like Jayasurya decided to begin his 2025 on a peaceful note by attending the Maha Kumbh Mela held at Prayagraj. The actor, in his long-haired and bearded avatar, visited the Kumbh Mela with his wife, son, and daughter. He shared many glimpses of their visit on his social media page. The colourful clicks from Prayagraj tell many stories of vibrant celebrations, families, lone saints, peaceful sunsets and some 'interesting' non-human visitors. One picture shows Jayasurya almost leaning in to 'shake hands' with a snake, while another captures him looking at the viper with a happy smile on his face.

Jayasurya's 'Vellom' co-star Samyukta was also seen at the Maha Kumbh Mela, meditating after a holy dip a few days ago. 'Life unfurls its meaning when we glimpse the vastness beyond it. I cherish my culture for its boundless spirit, ever nourishing the stream of consciousness, like a sacred dip in the Ganga at Maha Kumbh,' Samyukta wrote on her page, sharing the pictures. Bollywood actors Esha Gupta, Hema Malini, Anupam Kher, Bhagyashree, Milind Soman, choreographer Remo D'Souza, Mamta Kulkarni, cricketer Suresh Raina and many others had also visited the Maha Kumbh in the past few days.
