Football star Saurez lazes away in Maldives after heartbreaking exit from FIFA World Cup

The images of Uruguayan striker Luis Saurez crying insolubly after his country was knocked out of the FIFA World Cup in Qatar will be etched in the minds of football fans across the globe. To tide over the bitter reality and unwind, Saurez has jetted off to the paradisical Maldives with his wife Sofia Balbi, daughter Delfina and sons Benjamin and Lauti. The pictures of them having a whale of a time on the islands have taken the social media by storm.

Though Uruguay won their last group match against Ghana with a scoreline of 2-0, South Korea, not Uruguay, qualified for the round of 16 on account of better goal difference from Group H.

Saurez along with his family is seen chilling out at the ultra-luxurious Siyam World resort. Moreover, the ace footballer also played soccer with other guests and residents of the island at the World Sports Arena football ground, which boasts of superlative facilities, of the resort.

It is noteworthy that Siyam World is Maldives’ biggest floating water park and is one of the sought-after luxury resorts of the celebrities. Siyam World is located on the Noonu Atoll and the resort scan be reached by 40-minute seaplane flight from the Velana International airport. You can also arrive at the retreat by taking a 30-minute flight to the Maafari Airport and a 15-minute speed boat ride from there.
