Hello
What’s happening to the successors of the great ‘Socialist’ political legacy in Kerala?
JDS state president Mathew T Thomas on Tuesday confirmed that efforts are underway to register a fresh name for the party
Mathew spent the first three days at the Thiruvalla TB but had to leave as he is not allowed to stay beyond that period, according to the norms.
The move follows the decision of theJD(S), one of the constituents of the LDF, to replace its cabinet nominee with with Chittur legislator K. Krishnankutty.
The 74-year-old farmer-cum-politician has in-depth understanding of inter-state river water sharing agreements.
JD(S) parliamentary party leader C K Nanu asserted there are no groups favouring either Krishnankutty or Thomas within the party.
The 57-year-old said that he had no plans to split the party or cling to power by resorting to unfair means.
JD(S) Secretary General Kunwar Danish Ali said the decision has been taken as part of the earlier pact that Mathew T Thomas will quit as minister after serving a two-and-a-half-year term.
