If the allegations against the petitioner are false, MLA Ganesh Kumar's honest intentions will be proved, the court added.
The petition states that the CBI failed to conduct the investigation based on scientific evidence and tried to protect the accused.
The report was approved by the court after Chandy’s demise and immediately before the Assembly bypoll at Puthuppally.
The Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) raised the demand at a meeting held in Thiruvananthapuram.
She also alleged that Ganesh Kumar’s father, R Balakrishna Pillai, and some Congress leaders had pressured her to alter her statement.
He has been asked to appear before the court on October 18.
He also clarified that MLA Ganesh Kumar was in no way linked to the matter.
He said Kerala Congress (M) leader Jose K Mani's name was also not in the original complaint and was added later.
The Congress leader said the government had received a copy of the report on June 19, 2023. He said the fact has been stated on the final page of the 76-page CBI report itself.
The report also cited that someone had tampered with the 21-page original letter multiple times.
