Kashmir jumped to third in the points table with 17 points from nine matches.
Mohammedan Sporting Club beat TRAU FC 2-1 to consolidate their top spot. Mohammedan have 19 points from eight matches, while Gokulam are in second place with 15 points from seven games.
Luka Majcen (4th, 38th) and Jourdaine Fletcher (5th, 27th) scored a brace each, while Jithin (66th) struck once for Gokulam against a 10-man Real Kashmir.
Though I-League champions Gokulam tried hard in the second half, an equaliser eluded them.
Real Kashmir pulled off a comeback 2-1 win against Peerless SC in Group B.
The versatile winger, who can also play as an attacking midfielder, joins the club from Real Kashmir FC.
The Srinagar-based outfit jumped to third on the table with 15 points and have now thrown their hat into the title race, while Gokulam drop to fifth place.
