The building had around 20 workers inside when disaster struck.
The three-storey house collapsed on Saturday afternoon.
The incident happened during the protest by residents against the use of earthmovers as heavy vibrations were felt in the area.
Nine persons were still feared trapped under the debris of the structure which collapsed at 1.45 pm on Saturday at Wardhaman Compound in Valpada area, they said, adding that search and rescue operations were on.
A bench headed by Justice D.Y. Chandrachud agreed with submissions of the Noida authority, which was represented by senior advocate Ravindra Kumar.
Though Harinarayanan was rushed to the Perumbavoor Taluk hospital he could not be saved.
The building was constructed hardly one-and-a-half years ago, at the cost of Rs 14 lakh.
