The head of the Orthodox Church further said that the state government should rethink its stand of allegedly neglecting the ASHA workers’ demand for a raise in their honorarium.

The minister will also be meeting the leaders of the Syro-Malabar Church’s Political Affairs Committee.
Chandrasekha claimed that the government was continuing with its 'usual pattern' of turning its back on the protests.
The families facing eviction from their residential properties with the Waqf Board’s claim over their land have been staging an indefinite protest on the church premises.
Munambam has been witnessing an indefinite strike for the past 178 days by 610 families who are entangled in a legal dispute with the Waqf Board.
